Math 4 success guide

Brief Information about the course

Bad news? you're in one of the toughest semesters of your Engineering major. Good news? Math isn't one of the tough courses anymore. Yes, believe it or not, it's not like math 1,2, and 3 at all. First of all it's a much shorter course and also much easier. Secondly, it's taught by Dr. Hany, this is a huge advantage if you had a previous experience with Dr. Rami. Math 4 course is about probability and statistics so forget algebra, calculus, and all these stuff.

In order to suit all needs we will give a study guide for students aiming for high grades (Achievers) and students who want to succeed with minimal efforts (Procrastinators).

Success guide for Achievers:

- Trigger your beast mode after the midterm, this is the part where some hard topics of the course start to appear. Try to solve extensively on these topics as probability can get very tricky

- Go back to school study mode. While this studying style doesn't suit for many subjects, it perfectly suits the math course. Dr. Hany repeats questions many times. He copies and pastes questions from old exams, sheets, and quizzes. You rarely benefit from such advantage in other courses.

- Never forget to write detailed steps of your solutions. Many students exit the math exam expecting a grade in the 90s but they get shocked after they see their grades. This is because Dr. Hany's marking scheme credits every single step including writing the formula, not only the final answer. In addition to these 3 points follow the guide below as well.

Success guide for Procrastinators:

- Assignments again and again. Free marks, all what you should do is just copy and paste you will find solutions everywhere including our website. And this time it carries bigger weight.

- BEFORE MIDTERM. collect as much marks as you can before midterm where topics are super easy. Remember that deadlines will start raining after midterms, and also the topics will get much harder. So score well in quizzes 1 and 2 and the midterm and then procrastinate until the final.

- Trigger your beast mode before the midterm exam and quizzes 1 and 2. Easy topics everywhere and all what you need to do before the quizzes is to open previous quizzes and solve them and skim through the sheets with your eyes. Before midterm you would do the same with previous midterms.

Wishing you success through your entire life.

CS 2 success guide

Brief Information about the course

CS 2 can be considered as the first introductory course to computer science courses in GUC. You will no longer use python, you will start using java. You will just have a basic idea on Data Structures, Loops, and Object Oriented Programming. CS 2 is a very easy course where you can get a high grade, and it's the only very easy CS course. We can categorize Other CS courses as easy, medium, hard, and very hard. CS2 is a big opportunity for students to improve their GPA.

In order to suit all needs we will give a study guide for students aiming for high grades (Achievers) and students who want to succeed with minimal efforts (Procrastinators).

Success guide for Achievers:

- Study online. This is a general advice for MET students. You should watch online courses and benefit from self learning as much as you can. You will find detailed explanations for every single topic online from Native English, Indian, and Arabic tutors. We will recommend online courses whenever possible. These courses will strengthen your skills in Computer Science more than anything else

- Solve past exams and quizzes. While Dr. Slim never run out of ideas, these past exams is a very good indicator to how much you will score in your exam. CS courses also have the biggest amount of materials available.

- BEWARE after an easy midterm. If you had an easy midterm, never expect a similar final. Usually when Dr. Slim makes the midterm easy, he makes the final extremely hard.

Success guide for Procrastinators:

- FOCUS, you never know when the gift is coming. Dr. Slim often makes 2 easy quizzes and a hard one. Same goes for In class assignments, 2 easy and one hard (if they are 3). So you should never procrastinate before a quiz or in class assignment because it may be very easy and you will regret not studying. You never know.

- Stop procrastinating just inside tutorials and labs. Yes you can procrastinate and pass this course, but please don't do it inside tutorials as the little amount of exercising you do in the tutorial will have a snow ball effect later on. You will need much less time to study.

- One last advice. If you struggle a lot during this course, know it's a big red alert. Either figure out where is the problem and try to solve it, or think again about majoring in Computer Science.

Wishing you success through your entire life.

Physics 2 success guide

Brief Information about the course

Physics 2 and all physics courses are easy thanks to the kind and flexible physics department. It's very easy to get a grade in Physics 2 and without a lot of effort. Success also shouldn't be a problem at all. For lazy students you can study exactly 4-5 times per year and get a high grade. We'll show you exactly how to do it.

In order to suit all needs we will give a study guide for students aiming for high grades (Achievers) and students who want to succeed with minimal efforts (Procrastinators).

Success guide for Achievers:

- Focus on previous exams, revisions, and extra sheets provided in order to see different ideas and solve the one or two problems the Dr. put in the exams for Excellent students. These questions are the cherry on top of the cake. You can reach A or A+ by solving these questions in addition to the EASY rest of the steps.

- Try to understand what's behind the rules in order to be able to solve questions that need proper understanding of Physics. Don't just depend on memorizing the rules as it can get you a B+ in best cases. If you aim for a higher grade you should understand as well.

- Solve WBA (Web Based Assignments) by yourself. In addition to these 3 points follow the guide below as well.

Success guide for Procrastinators:

- Use your best friend aka Assignments. In a course like Physics 2 you can solve WBAs in a matter of minutes by copying them from your friend or from us. These are the easiest marks you can get in your whole life.

- Solve sheets/previous quizzes relevant to a quiz before entering this quiz. Quizzes include like 1 or 2 sheets so it's like one or 2 hours of study. Prepare a formula sheet to help you by including every rule you face and know when to apply each rule.

- Studying Midterm and Final through sheets and notes only is enough. Take some notes and read them we have good notes for Physics courses from TA Maha el Feshawy then solve the sheets by yourself and Only one previous Midterm/Final and you're good to go to get a high grade. We encourage procrastinators to get a high grade in such course as the chance may not come again later.

Wishing you success through your entire life.

Math 2 success guide

Brief Information about the course

Math 2 is the hardest and trickiest course in semester 2 and in the first year in GUC Engineering. Specially if it's taught by Dr .Rami, who have no mercy regarding students success. Last year a graph showed by Dr. Rami in one of his lectures after the midterm showed that 70% of students scored below 50% in the exam and most of the 70% scored below 30%. Despite of these terrific results, there were students who got full mark and above 90%.

In order to suit all needs we will give a study guide for students aiming for high grades (Achievers) and students who want to succeed with minimal efforts (Procrastinators).

Success guide for Achievers:

- Attend the lectures. The more strict and tough the doctor, the more material he use from his lecture slides. Attending lectures is obligatory if you want to score high in Math 2 course. This isn't necessary in all courses like math 4 where you can score an A+ without attending lectures.

- Midterms. These are the first step of scoring a high grade as they carry a large weight and SOMETIMES Dr. Rami decides to make the midterm very easy and put most of the difficulty in the Final Exam.

- Study every day and every week, the key to math courses is always solving as much as you can. In addition to these 3 points follow the guide below as well.

Success guide for Procrastinators:

- Never say no to gifts! In a tough course like Math 2 you should never miss half a grade in assignments for example. Also, you shouldn't as we provide assignment solutions.

- Quizzes, quizzes, quizzes. Yes you can have a Midterm where you can't put pen to paper, but quizzes are always closer to the easy side so you can score high grades if you study well.

- Trigger your beast mode before the Final exam. After you've done well in quizzes and assignments and put yourself in a place where you just need 30% in the Final, never stop here. Because 30% in Dr. Rami's finals isn't that easy. However if you have a good background in every topic, solve previous exams, and have some "HABD" skills, you will score above 50s.

Wishing you success through your entire life.
